Retco Oy Welding Products on toimittanut 2022 lopulla, SSAB Raahen terästehtaan kunnossapitoon uuden sukupolven hitsausautomaatin ROLL CLADDER R500 kolmella hitsauspäällä, jatkuvavalukoneen vaipparullien pinnoitushitsaukseen. Laitteen valmistaja ja suunnittelija on Welding Alloys / Ranska. Welding Alloys on ollut edelläkävijä automatisoitujen hitsauslaitteiden suunnittelussa ja valmistuksessa 1970-luvulta lähtien.
Roll Cladder -hitsauskone
Automatisoitu telavaippojen päällystykseen ja kovahitsaukseen tarkoitettu hitsausautomaatti nykyaikaisella käyttöohjelmistolla. Ohjausjärjestelmä D3 Touch Welding Alloysin D3-Touch on kosketusnäyttöön perustuva automatisointitekniikka, joka mahdollistaa automatisoidun hitsaustapahtuman. Laitteella on mahdollista hitsata kolmea erillistä vaippaa samanaikaisesti ja hitsauslisäaineena käytetään Retco Oy:n toimittamia kaasuttomia täytelankoja.
”Laite on toinen Raahen terästehtaalle toimittamani vastaava laite” kertoo Retco Oy:n perustaja ja nykyinen myyntijohtaja Jukka Setälä. ”Ensimmäinen, niin ikään Welding Alloysin valmistama laite, toimitin sen vuonna 1997 eli 25 vuotta sitten. Laite oli analoginen ja kahdella hitsauspäällä, joten kahta telavaippaa voitiin pinnoittaa samanaikaisesti. Laite oli vaihtoon asti tuotannollisessa työssä, kunnes se korvattiin nyt toimitetulla uudella huippu modernilla koneella. Vanhalla yksiköllä oli takana satoja tuhansia hitsattuja lisäainekiloja ja tuhansia pinnoitehitsattuja telavaippoja.”
Retco Oy:n osakekannan omistaa nykyään ruotsalainen Bergman & Beving konserni. Retco Oy toimii edelleen Porissa, omana itsenäisenä yksikkönä, jonka toimitusjohtajana on IWE, Ins. Ville Setälä.

NEW GENERATION AUTOMATIC WELDING ROLL CLADDER R500
At the end of 2022, Retco Oy Welding Products has delivered a new generation automatic welding machine ROLL CLADDER R500 with three welding heads to the SSAB Raahe steel mill maintenance, a continuous casting machine for cladding of rolls. The manufacturer and designer of the device is Welding Alloys / France. Welding Alloys has been a pioneer in the design and manufacture of automated welding equipment since the 1970s.
Automated welding machine intended for cladding and rollers with modern operating software. Control system D3 Touch Welding Alloys’ D3-Touch is a touch screen-based automation technology that enables an automated welding process. With the device, it is possible to weld three separate rolls at the same time, and gasless filler wires supplied by Retco Oy are used as a welding additive.
”The device is the second similar device I delivered to the Raahe steel factory,” says Retco Oy’s founder and current Sales Director Mr. Jukka Setälä. ”I delivered the first device, also manufactured by Welding Alloys, in 1997, i.e. 25 years ago. The device was analog and had two welding heads, so two rolls could be clad weld at the same time. The device was in production work until it was replaced by a new, ”state-of-the-art” machine that has been delivered end of 2022. The old unit had hundreds of thousands of kilos of welds and thousands of clad-welded rolls behind it.”
Today, Retco Oy is owned by the Swedish Bergman & Beving group. Retco Oy operates in Pori Finland, as its own independent unit, whose CEO is IWE, engineer Ville Setälä.
”B & B, on its own initiative, bought the entire share of the company I founded and owned in 1999 from me on April 1, 2022. I considered the share sale to be the most appropriate option to secure the continuity of the company’s services, for all parties, with my future retirement in mind,” says Jukka Setälä, who has worked in the field of welding import and trade for almost 40 years.
